On this page I will be reviewing CDs, DVDs, films, books, TV shows and documentaries … just about anything connected to Britney that is released or broadcast. As there are no current releases by her, I’ve begun with a review of her remix album, as this was her latest CD release.

Added 14/2/06 - B in the Mix (CD)

This is an album of remixes of Britney’s songs, released in the UK 28th November 2005.

Disappointing start with Toxic, this version not being half as good as the one on the Greatest Hits - My Prerogative bonus disc. But things get much, much better!

Next we have Me Against the Music, which has a nice jerky rock groove to it and Britney’s and Madonna‘s voices used to produce some quirky vocal effects in parts.

Following that, Touch of My Hand is a good reworking of the atmospheric album track.

Again, the next track, Breathe On Me is not as good here as the version on the Greatest Hits - My Prerogative bonus disc, even though it’s the same producer, but the following track, Slave 4 U, with its quirky electronic noises is fantastic!

Following is my favourite track on the album, And Then We Kiss! I haven’t heard the original, but this is awesome! Reminds me of Kylie in parts (no bad thing!) Has been released as a single in some places.

Next, we get the same mix of Everytime as on the Greatest Hits - My Prerogative bonus disc, this is fantastic and I‘ve liked this one for some time! An up-tempo version, very Ibiza! Love it!

Early Mornin’ is soo good too! Wow, the music in the background sounds like a western theme, this is a chunky piece of hip-hop!

The next track, Someday (I Will Understand), is given the same up-tempo treatment as Everytime. Don’t think the original was released over here, but I think it was released on the Britney and Kevin: Chaotic EP in the States.

The up-tempo, … One More Time, seems to sample Madonna’s Justify My Love in the background and is a worthy remix of Britney’s debut single.

The remaining tracks are Don’t Let Me Be the Last to Know, Stronger (bonus track), and I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman (also a bonus track), the latter being given a flamenco groove! A perfect way to end the album.
